A structured digital platform for Luxembourg’s leading trade union

OGBL

OGBL — Luxembourg’s leading trade union, representing more than 77,000 members across sectors and regions.

The Challenge

The OGBL represents tens of thousands of members across diverse economic sectors, age groups and professional backgrounds. Its digital presence needed to reflect this diversity while remaining clear, structured and accessible.

The main challenges were:

  • Managing a very large and complex content scope
  • Structuring information for multiple audiences (young workers, long-standing members, cross-border employees, public and private sector professionals)
  • Creating dedicated sections for 14 Professional Syndicates
  • Ensuring clarity and usability despite the depth of information
  • Developing a secure member area connected to membership data

The platform needed to be robust enough to handle institutional complexity — yet intuitive enough to feel simple to the end user.

The Approach

We began with a structured analysis phase to fully understand the organisational architecture of OGBL, its internal processes and its different target audiences.

From there, we developed:

  • A clear information architecture capable of handling large volumes of content
  • A modular design system adaptable to multiple syndicate sections
  • A scalable backend structure allowing independent content management
  • A secure “Espace Membre” tailored to membership logic

The design was intentionally structured and accessible, ensuring usability across generations and devices.

The Solution

Midori delivered the project end-to-end — from concept and design to full technical implementation.

The result includes:

  • A fully custom website with a structured, scalable CMS
  • Dedicated multi-page environments for each of the 14 Professional Syndicates
  • A robust backend allowing full content autonomy
  • A secure member area where users can log in, access personalised data and manage their membership

Special attention was given to system integrations enabling the retrieval and synchronisation of membership data while maintaining security and performance.

The technical architecture was built to support long-term evolution and institutional reliability.

The Result

The new OGBL platform combines depth with clarity.

Behind the scenes, it operates on a robust and structured backend capable of managing complex content and member data.
On the front end, the experience remains intuitive, accessible and organised.

The result is a digital environment that reflects OGBL’s scale and institutional importance — while remaining clear and usable for every member.
